Company History
Tony Tingle and his wife, previously farmers, operated 660 acres of farmland in Henry County, Kentucky. After a decade of hard work and 100 hour weeks in farming, Tony decided to change careers. “I looked for something with lower risk and fewer hours” Tony says with a straight face. “So I got into home building.”
Although he is now more than 5 years removed from the farm, its legacy lives on in the strategies and corporate culture of Sanctuary Homes. The head of this young firm takes a frugal approach to everything from scrap lumber to office space. In farming, you need three things: efficiency, perseverance and a positive attitude. Those are the same qualities you need to succeed in home building.
The company will end 2006 having built 15 spec homes, and 7 highly personalized homes. Sanctuary Homes has also grown geographically and is now building in Spencer, Oldham, Henry and Jefferson Counties.

We offer lots of options so each home is customized to meet the specific needs of the customer, and our quality control process is incredibly detailed. We check hundreds of items on every home and we back the whole thing up with a warranty. We love what we do…we love making our customers happy.”
